Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage), which store preferences directly in your browser without sending data to a server.
These files allow us to remember your choices, measure usage of the service, and improve your experience on Roca Dourada.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies to keep Roca Dourada running, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our games. Without strictly necessary cookies, parts of the service will not function. Analytical and functional cookies are only set with your consent.
3. Cookie categories
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Keeps the service running: session management, security, age verification and cookie consent. Does not require consent. | __age_ok, __cc_v1 | Session to 12 months |
| Performance / Analytics | Anonymous traffic analysis to improve the service. Only set with consent. | __cf_bm (Cloudflare Web Analytics) | Up to 30 days |
| Functional | Remembers user preferences such as sound settings and animation choices. Only set with consent. | localStorage keys | Up to 12 months |

4. Legal basis (GDPR and ePrivacy)
The use of cookies is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable ePrivacy rules on cookie consent. Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest — they do not require consent. All other categories are only set following your explicit opt-in consent and may be withdrawn at any time.
5. How to manage cookies on Roca Dourada
When you visit Roca Dourada for the first time, a consent banner is displayed with the options "Accept all" and "Necessary only". Your choice is stored in localStorage.__cc_v1. To change your consent you can delete this key via your browser's developer tools (F12 → Application → Local Storage), or use one of the browser methods below.
6. How to manage cookies in your browser
You can manage or delete cookies directly in your browser:
7. Third parties and services
- Cloudflare Inc. — infrastructure, CDN and anonymous Web Analytics. Cloudflare may set
__cf_bmfor security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. - Google LLC — Google Ads cookies may be set if you arrive via a paid Google campaign, and only if you have given consent. See Google's privacy policy.
- Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Advertising cookies may be set for paid campaign traffic and only with consent. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Roca Dourada respects the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and treats it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies. If your browser sends a GPC signal, only strictly necessary cookies will be set. We take DNT signals into account on a best-effort basis, but GPC is the signal we actively enforce.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
